Acupuncture

Acupuncture is the use of very thin, flexible needles, inserted with at specific points to stimulate, suppress, or improve the energy flow of different organs and meridians. Modalities include dry needling, electro-acupuncture and aqua-acupuncture, which are used to relieve pain, stimulate healing and enhance overall wellness.  Dr. Greenberger provides a calming and supportive environment, ensuring that the acupuncture experience is as painless and effective as possible.

Manual Therapies

Manual therapies include Tui-na, spinal and joint manipulations, massage and myofascial trigger point therapy, tailored to each patient's needs and focused on improving mobility, muscle and organ function. Manual therapies can be used instead of acupuncture in patients that are sensitive to needles, but most commonly are used to complement other therapies and sometimes can be taught for use at home in between sessions.

Natural Herbs

Herbal Medications

Chinese herbal medicine has been used for thousands of years to support the body’s natural balance and healing. Specific combinations of herbs are selected based on your pet’s individual pattern diagnosis and prescribed in easy-to-give forms such as pills, powders, or treats. These formulas work gently over time to restore harmony and improve overall health.

Food Therapy

In Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine, food is medicine, and diet is carefully selected based on qualities like temperature, flavor, and cooking method to help correct energetic imbalances.  Customized diets are a cornerstone of Junipers holistic veterinary approach, with tailored nutrition plans for each patient to promote overall wellness and support specific health conditions.

Jonit Greenberger DVM, CCRT, CVA

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine

Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist

Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist

I have wanted to be a veterinarian from a very young age, and grew up volunteering at vet clinics, wildlife facilities and shelters. I studied veterinary medicine at Tufts University in Massachusetts, where I was first introduced to the ideas of multimodal pain management and functional medicine. As a new graduate, I was fortunate to connect with the sled dog community, which fueled my interest in sports medicine and inspired me to pursue certifications in Rehabilitation Therapy through the Canine Rehabilitation Institute, and in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine through the Chi Institute in 2012. Since then, I have pursued advanced training in manual therapies, functional rehabilitation, herbal and nutritional medicine, and osteopathy. In March of 2025, my family and I moved from Oregon to Colorado to be closer to extended family. I look forward to using my skills to empower clients and patients in their pursuit of an active and healthy mountain lifestyle.
